I went to Nokonoshima in April.
Nokonoshima is a small island situated in Hakata Bay in Fukuoka prefecture. It's only 10 minutes by boat from the mainland. These flowers are Livingstone daisies. They look like a patchwork quilt. I took this photo from almost the same place as the first one. Because I took the first picture at 4:30 p.m. most flowers had closed their petals. It makes the picture look mysterious. I took this one at 2:00 p.m. so the flowers still have their petals open. This is a view of the hill side. This shows a poppy field with the sea in the background. Another poppy field. These are rape blossoms. Unfortunately, the best time to see them had already ended. If you visit here early in April, you can see beautiful scenery like this. To tell the truth, I hadn't heard of Nokonoshima until March when I made a plan to visit my friend in Fukuoka. I checked many guidebooks and I found the island there. Actually this island isn't so famous but there are many people who love it. The famous Japanese author Kazuo Dan loved Nokonoshima and lived here later in his life. And the famous Japanese singer Yousui Inoue made a cute song about Nokonoshima. The opposite bank of Nokonoshima. By the way, my nickname is Sako. I like taking photos. I'd like to show you beautiful Japanese scenery. I hope you enjoy my photos. Hope to see you again! ☆Nokonoshima Island Park HP☆
